Our Purpose
The purpose of Newark Makes is two fold. Students will have the opportunity to learn about designing, programming, 3D printing and engineering, independently, with customized projects suited to their interests and ability level along with how businesses operate.
Our STEAM division provides students with a space that is open for use daily during school hours. Students are encouraged to become interested in STEAM topics through play then push their learning by completing challenges and individual and team projects.
Our business division is a fully operational sign shop where students design and finish professional quality banners, signs and decals. The students involved get real world experience as they are in charge of running the business including finding and meeting client's needs, creating the designs, printing and finishing products.
