About Me

This is my 9th year at Newark High School and my third year teaching Intro to Computing.  The first three years I taught at Newark I was teaching Freshmen Science.  Then I switched roles and became one of the Technology Integration Specialist.  In that position, I am in charge of training teachers to integrate technology into their curriculum and running Professional Developement.  Three years ago school year Newark joined in a partnership with code.org to start a computer science program at the high school.  I see computer science as being a very necessary course for students in today's world so naturally I wanted to teach the class.  I also run our school's Maker Space and sign shop called Newark Makes: Design and Innovation Center. 

 

Out side of school I have been the assisstant soccer coach to the boys varsity team for the past 5 years and the current head coach for the past two years.  I enjoy participating in the yearly talent show with other teachers.  You can see one of our preformances on YouTube below.
